4.	Exclusion of the Press and Public If Performance and Appointments Committee wishes to exclude the press and the public from the meeting during consideration of any of the items on the exempt from publication part of the agenda, it will be necessary for Committee to pass a resolution in accordance with the provisions of section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972 on the grounds that their presence could involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as described in paragraph 3 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

Recruitment of a Replacement Chief Executive Officer (CEO) (Head of Paid Service) and Returning Officer and Electoral Registration Officer View the reasons why item 5. is restricted Purpose: The report sets out the proposals to agree arrangements for the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) (Head of Paid Service) and a Returning Officer and a Electoral Returning Officer for West Oxfordshire District Council following the announcement that the current post holder is retiring, with the last day in post being 31 May 2026. Recommendation: The recommendations are set out in the exempt report.
