Having received notice of the decisions taken at the meeting held on 11 May 2022, it was

Resolved that the decisions be noted.

2.

Exclusion of the Public and Press

In view of the likely disclosure of exempt information, as defined in paragraphs 1 and 2 of

Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from

the meeting for the remaining item/s of business.

Discretionary Section 13A Council Tax Discount Request

Purpose.

To determine an application for Discretionary Council Tax discount submitted under Section 13A of the Local Government Finance Act 1992, as amended.

 

Recommendation.

That the:

a)    Application for Council Tax Discretionary discount submitted under Section 13A of the Local Government Finance Act 1992, as amended, be refused by the Cabinet Member with responsibility for Finance.

Minutes:

The Finance Officer Mr Chris Kent introduced the application for Council Tax Discount Request, concluding that officers recommendation was to refuse the application.

The Cabinet member for Finance Councillor Dan Levy asked questions about the application to determine the full background surrounding the request.

Following discussions Councillor Levy approved the officers recommendation, therefore

Resolved application was refused.

Discretionary Section 13A Council Tax Discount Request

Purpose.

To determine an application for Discretionary Council Tax discount submitted under Section 13A of the Local Government Finance Act 1992, as amended.

 

Recommendation.

That the:

a)    Application for Council Tax Discretionary discount submitted under Section 13A of the Local Government Finance Act 1992, as amended, be granted by the Cabinet Member with responsibility for Finance.

To determine an application for Discretionary Council Tax discount submitted under Section 13A of the Local Government Finance Act 1992, as amended.

 

Recommendations.

That the:

a)    Application for Council Tax Discretionary discount submitted under Section 13A of the Local Government Finance Act 1992, as amended, be refused by the Cabinet Member with responsibility for Finance.

b)    That officers be requested to make an arrangement with the taxpayer to catch up the arrears over a period acceptable to the Council.
