JUBILEE FUND GRANTS DECISION MEETING pdf icon PDF 259 KB

Purpose

To determine applications to the Jubilee fund grant scheme.

Recommendations

To approve, under delegated authority, the applications as set out in the report

Minutes:

The Cabinet Member for Customer Delivery, Councillor Doughty, received a report from the Community Wellbeing Manager, Heather McCulloch, which detailed applications to the Jubilee fund grant scheme.

Heather McCulloch introduced the report and Annex A which included the list of each application recommended for approval. She thought the Council had received a healthy response to the scheme, and that in the original report it stated in error that 4 applications were withdrawn, actually it was only 3.

David Bates also attended the meeting and was able to confirm any further details from applications that Councillor Doughty required.

Councillor Doughty was delighted to see so many applications for the Jubilee fund grant scheme, and thanked Sarah Levete, Paul Ledden, David and Heather for their transparent approach and hard work getting the report completed, so that the applicants could finalise their plans for the Jubilee.

Heather McCulloch confirmed that the process has been well received from the public and that there had been a total of 26 applications. The team had worked hard with the applicants to encourage them to provide the full information required to enable them to be put forward for recommendation for approval.

Councillor Doughty evaluated each request for funding, confirmed that all checks had been completed and that the process had been transparent. She also stated that the Leader of the Council, Michele Mead, had seen the list of applicants, and was thrilled to endorse such innovations for celebrating the Queens’s Jubilee.

Having considered the report, and having heard from the officers present, the Cabinet Member for Customer Delivery

Resolved that the applications as set out in the report, and the list within Annex A be approved.
